The Northwest Companies began service in 1989 in the beautiful northwestern mountains of North Carolina. The postcard town of West Jefferson served as our home base for years and is still home to an integral part of our business namely Northwest Lawn Care, Inc.

As Northwest expanded these services to surrounding counties and states, we set up an administrative office in China Grove, NC, just north of Charlotte. As our service area grew, our offerings grew as well. We now provide a full range of landscape and snow management services to larger facilities and companies with multi-sited accounts across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states. We accomplish this through our two separate yet closely related management companies – The Northwest Companies and Northwest Snow Management, Inc.

Many property managers and corporate real estate officers now realize the advantage of having a liaison, such as Northwest, that knows the language and techniques of field operations and the business needs of corporate managers. This knowledge along with the economy of scale principle enables Northwest to offer very competitive prices to our customers. By coupling that with the savings our customers realize by outsourcing applicable administrative functions, we really do cut overhead cost.

To achieve this we, first of all, begin with a pledge to maintain the highest level of service across our entire footprint. To that end, we have instituted a comprehensive Quality Assurance program to monitor and control performance of our field personnel. Our management team maintains personal involvement in day-to-day operations, makes frequent field visits, requires monthly performance reports, incorporates digital photos into our detailed databases and provides near real-time reporting to our clients via two online reporting modules. For Northwest Landscape Management, we have enhanced our website to involve field reports and digital photo displays. For Northwest Snow Management, we have developed and deployed a remote wireless web application (I.C.E.).
